Greetings:
I would like to share with you my miracle, with the hope that it will strengthen your own faith in God (Luke 22:32).
Last Wenesday, January 9th, I had to take a friend of mine to the airport early in the morning. We had agreed that he would give me a few dollars for gas so that I could go back home, because my tank was getting low. Because of that assurance, I felt comfortable enough to leave my wallet at home...
Well, when we got to the airport he was running late and had to check in, so I was left penniless in a car on "Empty"! If you know Atlanta, the airport is located about 25 miles from Decatur, which is where I reside.
So while I was driving home, I prayed and asked the Lord to please allow my car stop somewhere close to home (unlikely as that was, having to drive home on a near-empty tank!).
I have run out of gas before in my car, and I knew it wouldn't be very long before I would have to abandon my car on the side of the highway, and walk several dangerous miles home!
To my amazement, my car never stopped! I just kept going and going and going...all the way to a church brethren's house in Decatur, after which I was able to put a few dollars in my tank and drive the short trip home.
About 10 or so miles into the trip from the airport, I just started praising God and didn't stop praising God until I reached Decatur!
We truly serve an awesome God. We read about miracles in the Bible, but it really doesn't hit home until it happens to you! If God could allow me to drive 25 miles home on an empty gas tank, I know that He can make a way for you...just ask Him!
I will leave with you these two Scripture passages for encouragement in your daily walk:
Luke 11:9, 10 - "So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened."
Matthew 6:33, 34 - "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. "
Your Brother in Christ,
Ben Corriette
